Sylvia Rayner, RCH RCH
Sylvia Rayner is an educator, coach and clinical hypnotherapist with 13+ years’ experience in mental performance training for professional/Olympic athletes, artistic performers, and entrepreneurs. She has particular expertise coaching high risk/adventure sports and endurance athletes. Using hypnotherapy and mental training techniques (alone or in combination), Sylvia’s work has enabled high performers to consistently and quickly overcome troublesome issues, removing mental barriers to excellence. Common work areas include creating optimal focus & concentration, tuning pre-competition nerves, pain management and recovery from injury/accident, overcoming trauma, developing superior confidence/self-efficacy, and performing beyond comfort zones.
TESTIMONIALS “Working with Sylvia changed the course of my life. I went to see her as a professional athlete looking to improve my performance and mental game, in which I saw positive results immediately. What I didn’t expect however was how the tools and skills she gave me would pour over into improving my every day life, and help me cope with the hardships and challenges that would arise within it. I would recommend Sylvia to anyone looking to better themselves or ease their own path on both professional and personal levels. The tools she provided me with will continue to benefit me for the rest of my life.” Jess Kimura, pro snowboarder (The North Face, Capita, Monster Energy)
“Well I did it. 273 km in 7 days. Temperatures were at extremes of hot to cold and the terrain was difficult as were the camp conditions. Think ruthless wind, dry dusty deep sand and limited water. I managed every fear by just listening to the recordings at night and practicing the cloud when I needed to. Then I just did it. The key to it all was simply to breath and relax. When my stomach started, to when the temps dropped below zero at night and I was shivering to when the pain in my feet due to terrible blistering was almost overwhelming. I just relaxed and persevered. I was definitely in the zone and never once did the thought of stopping cross my mind seriously or for longer than an instant. This was really a breakthrough for me. I have no muscle soreness and could have pushed much harder if it wasn’t for my feet (they actually took pictures of them for the website…)! So thank you very much for your contribution. It made a difference—absolutely. For someone like me, a rational critical tough to convince scientist, that’s saying something!” Dr. Monique Dube, Canada Research Chair and ultrarunner
“I absolutely recommend Sylvia to others. I have had private sessions to work on specific issues as well as group classes. They have led to very positive and sustainable changes in my life. We are often reluctant to try things we don’t understand or cannot control. Try it and trust the process. The results will speak for themselves.” M.B.
“The work has impacted my life in a few ways (such as being more positive, letting go of even more negative aspects of my life, and in general I’m more organized, which makes me more chilled….a good thing) but the biggest impact has been on my biggest struggle, which as you know is food. Things have just clicked for me. I feel 100% in control. I’m already down a few pounds, and feel great. I’ve finally kicked the binging for real. I feel very empowered and in control in a way that I didn’t before. So cool :) Thank you.” D.A.
“I would tell prospective clients that this is probably more powerful work than they could ever imagine. It also will most likely affect all parts of their life in positive ways, possibly even areas that they didn’t realize needed or could be improved.” S.C.

He moved to Vancouver in September 2016 and completed his training as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Registered Acupuncturist. Thanks to his many years of practice he incorporates mindfulness to offer patients deep presence and attention tailoring each treatment with a warm and integrative approach.
He offers a variety of treatment modalities ranging from Tui na (acupressure/deep tissue) massage, Acupuncture based on TCM diagnostic methods and treatment strategies, cupping (with or without needles), electro stimulation acupuncture and gua sha (scraping). Some of the conditions he enjoys treating the most are sport injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic or acute pain, insomnia, digestive issues and emotional imbalances. He strives to make his patients feel more centered, peaceful and present after each treatment. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and is currently learning Mandarin.
Testimonials:
Fabiola Perez Castan: I have received several massages from Alex Litvinoff during 2019. I have to mention that I have been receiving massages from different people for years as I have moved from one city to another, and Alex has a gift for feeling muscles and treating them as needed. I have a permanent injury to my left trapezium that requires different treatment than any temporary muscle pain (bad sleeping position, muscle fatigue etc). Alex definitely knows how to synchronize with your muscles and flow with them during the massage, to heal or improve them as much as possible. I highly recommend him, either to be healed or to be relaxed.
Gabriela Rosenthal: Excellent technique through pressure at different key points in the body where there is tension. It was great for relaxing. I highly recommend Alex.
Ilana Wainberg: Alex is very professional and also a nice person . I had back pains and after some sessions I could feel a relief without taking any medication, just with his massage. I highly recommend his services.
Carol Gandra: Extraordinary human and professional. In all the massage sessions I felt relaxed and welcomed. The best massage in Vancouver!
Dan Howard: I came to Alex for a deep tissue massage when I had just finished 4 weeks of hard labour in -10° and was feeling very stiff. By the end of the session I was feeling light on my feet, and the tension in my shoulders and forearms had felt like it had resided for the time being. After a couple days of stretching and reminding my body to relax again, I felt more flexible and confident then I have in months!
Nicolas Gonzalez Thomas:
“I sometimes struggle with chronic tension and find massages in general to be too superficial. Alex was able to work with the muscles and tensions in a deeper way than I have had in the past, it was a complete full-body reset. I highly recommend Alex’s massages!”
Santiago Yanez: Having been to a handful of RMTs, massagers, and acupuncturist in the city, I can safely say that Alex has an amazing ability to find the right spot!. His ability to home-in on a particular issue or ailment and work to heal the area is exceptional. As I professional dancer would highly recommend visiting Alex for any issue and will be recommending him warm, inviting, and highly professional studio to everyone I know.

“I work to integrate what someone has (un)consciously learned in the past with associated emotional programs, and at the same time work with needs and desires in the present time.”
Egbert’s coaching/therapy approach is often a matter of integrating a client’s paradoxical polarities. Egbert has the techniques available to guide the client to her or his own expertise of ‘self’ - therefore Egbert is not the expert, but the client self is.

“Egbert has meant a great deal to me. With patience and empathy, he created a safe environment where I was able to express my most personal feelings and emotions. Egbert is very patient but is also pretty straight forward. He helped me to overcome pains from my childhood which held me back. I gained a lot of self-insight and new skills to avoid my survival strategies. Result: Clear mind and regained energy.” MdG.
“I have a company in asset management. We are small, but leading in the world [in our sector]. I hired Egbert to work with our teams of consultants and software engineers. In a playful and educational way, he made everybody excited to learn about stress and energy management. The participants started opening up after Egbert went off script and introduced a number of exercises. He re-kick started the innovate drive within the company. He also addressed some issues between several team members, which went unnoticed by the management. I’ve never seen my teams being this excited about working and communicating with each other.” J.R
